Top Ten Author's We've Read the Most Books From 11th August

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature created by The Broke and the Bookish and you can find their post here.

Clare's Picks: I had to restrict myself regency romance-wise otherwise this would be just a list of regency romance authors and nothing else. So in actual fact Sabrina Jeffries (12), Amanda Quick (13) and Julia Quinn (24) should also be on here. But that would have got very quickly boring.

1) Stephanie Laurens
Far and away my most read author. She writes regency romance which is like my go to genre whenever I am in a reading slump. I have read all her books so far, and pretty much all of them interconnect. So this is somewhere around 52 books.

2) Georgette Heyer
My Nan picked up Sylvester at a car boot sale because she thought I might like it. I thought it was doubtful (I had never read regency or romance before let alone combined). By the end of that year I had collected as many of her books as I physically could. I haven't yet read all her books, but I just checked and I have read 47 of them, which is fairly respectable.

3) Kelley Armstrong
I tried Bitten a long time ago thinking I wouldn't like it, loved it and then set out to own the entire series plus the young adult spin off. And then I marathoned them. Which is 21 books. I haven't yet read any of her other series' but I fully intend to.

4) Mary Stewart
I really enjoy these books, they're like comfort food in book form. I've read 15 of her books.

5) Rachel Caine
The Morganville Vampires series. Which feels never ending but was actually only 15 books. Not the best series in the world but I kept reading for some reason.

6) Richelle Mead
The Vampire Academy series and the Bloodlines series. Probably my favourite vampire series'. Lots of great characters and I just really love these series.

7) Maria V Snyder
I have read 11 of her books, I own Shadow Study but I haven't read it yet. I hyped it up in my head and now I am worried it won't live up to the promise. But who am I kidding!? It's Maria V. Snyder! It's going to be amazing.

8) Sophie Kinsella
I have read 11 of Sophie Kinsella's books. My favourite would probably be I've Got Your Number, although there will always be a soft spot in my heart for Becky from the Shopaholic series.

9) Cassandra Clare
I have read the Mortal Instruments, the Infernal Devices and the Bane Chronicles which makes a lovely even 10. I have yet to read The Iron Trial (although it is on my shelf).

10) Rick Riordan
This is at 10 at the moment too, five for Percy Jackson and five for Heroes of Olympus. I am meant to be reading the Kane chronicles this week though, so if you asked me this next week he would have been higher up!

Ann's Picks:
I dont often read long series' so I struggled a bit with this.

1) Cassandra Clare
I love the mortal instruments and Bane chronicles and am planning on reading the Iron Trial as soon as my little brother finishes reading it and then I have to wait until Clare has read it as well.

2) J.K. Rowling
The Harry Potter series is one of my favourite series and I have read all of the books at least 4 times. So that makes 8 books read as I have also read the tales of Beedle the Bard.

3) Angie Sage
One of my favourite authors. I loved the Septimus Heap series and have read them all plus an add on book called The Magykal Papers. I have also read a new book by Angie Sage called Pathfinder. So I have read 9 books by Angie Sage.

4) Alyxandra Harvey
I have read all of the Drake Chronicles which I loved and even recommended to a couple of my friends. I also read Haunting Violet and Stolen Away, which makes 8 books in total.

5) Kelley Armstrong
I have only read her young adult series' but they were very good and that makes for 6 books in total.
