Sunday Post 21st August 2016

The Sunday Post STSmall_thumb[2]
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted at Caffeinated Book Reviewer, it's a chance to post a recap on the past week, show the books we have received and share what we plan for the coming week. Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews and the aim is to show our newest books and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops or downloaded on to their e-reader. As always you can click on any of the pictures to be taken to the Goodreads page for that book if you're interested in finding out more about it.

Last Week on the Blog:

Books We Got This Week:

Purchased:
Beginnings: Obsidian & Onyx (Lux, #1-2)Consequences: Opal & Origin (Lux, #3-4)Opposition (Lux, #5)
The Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout: I've already read the first four books in this series but I want to refresh my memory before I read the fifth book - Opposition, so I got both the first bind ups.

For Review:
Don't Let Go (Hope, #6)Friction
Don't Let Go by Jaci Burton: Received for review from Headline Eternal, this seems like a great romance read. It is the 6th in the series but I believe it can be read as standalone.
Friction by Sandra Brown: Received for review from Hodder & Stoughton. I got Sting a little while ago and I am excited to start reading!

From the Library:
The Raven Boys (The Raven Cycle, #1)The Dream Thieves (The Raven Cycle, #2)Blue Lily, Lily Blue (The Raven Cycle, #3)The Raven King (The Raven Cycle, #4)Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock
The Raven Boys Quartet by Maggie Stiefvater: I reserved these last week and they have already come in which is exciting. I am looking forward to reading these!
Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock by Matthew Quick: I always hear mixed things about Quick's books but this sounds interesting.

Reading Update:

Clare:
The Silvered Heart
The Silvered Heart by Katherine Clements: 4 stars, Exciting and engaging with compelling, though not always likable, characters. Loved the historical details. I will have a full review for this posted next week.

  1. I still have not read The Raven Boys. Everyone raves about the series. I really need to get on that and read them.
