Top Ten Book to Movie Adaptations We're Looking Forward To

Top Ten Tuesdays is an original feature created by The Broke and The Bookish and you can find their page here

1) Mockinjay Part 2
Who isn't excited for this? I am fairly sure I am going to walk out of the cinema sobbing but in a good way!

2) Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children
This is being directed by Tim Burton which just makes me even more excited!

3) Me Before You
Again. Sobbing. Even more so with this. The book broke my heart so I am excited to watch the film. Plus I love the stars - Emilia Clarke, Jenna Coleman, Sam Claflin.

4) Pride and Prejudice and Zombies
I actually wasn't a huge fan of the book but that was more just the writing style than anything else and the film looks amazing and I am kind of in love with Lily James.

5) The 5th Wave
This should be badass! This is a definite watch for me.

6) Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
I honestly feel like I've been waiting for this one for years. It had started to seem like it would never happen.

7) Let it Snow
I'll be honest I completely ran out of book to movie adaptations in my head and googled it and apparently this is set for release December 2016. Which is awesome. The book is so cute and fun and I am excited to see what the film is like.

8) Looking for Alaska
I can't believe I forgot this was happening. But it is!

9) Deadpool
Comic books count right? I love Deadpool and I feel like I've been waiting for this movie forever.

10) Alice Through the Looking Glass
Not likely to be a very accurate adaptation but I like the quirkiness of the first film so it should still be great.

You can also find us on Goodreads (Ann and Clare) to keep up with what we are reading

  1. I'm so excited to see what Tim Burton does with Miss Peregrine's! I'm going to try to read Me Before You soon but I didn't know it was sad! I don't want to read sad over the holidays so I might have to put it off for a while!

    1. I wish I hadn't spoiled the sadness then! I went in expecting a light romance and I got way more than I bargained for! And yeah, don't make yourself sad over the holidays! Tim Burton is going to do so well with Miss Peregrine!

  2. I'm so excited for Mockingjay. I'm going to need to bring a LOT of tissues. I can feel it.

I'm the bad Harry Potter fan who has NO idea what Fantastic Beasts even is. I'll just show up to the theatres I guess. :p
