Every Wednesday we are linking up with WWW Wednesday. WWW Wednesday is hosted at Taking on a World of Words and asks 3 questions: What are you currently reading?, What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you'll read next? You can click any of the images to go to the Goodreads page for that book!
Currently Reading:
I am just starting The Sandcastle Empire which I'm really excited for. It sounds like a survival story which is definitely my thing but with some dystopian elements as well? I might be entirely wrong but I'm hoping for great things!
Recently Finished:
The Girl From Summer Hill was a good, cute, romantic read perfect for summer trips to the beach. I really enjoyed it and I will definitely have to check out more of this author's books! Broken Branches was atmospheric and slightly creepy and wholly brilliant. Full review for this coming soon. Circling the Sun was unfortunately disappointing story-wise but I did enjoy the writing style so will be checking out The Paris Wife at a later date. Of Monsters and Madness was a fun and slightly creepy story although it was nothing special overall I did enjoy reading it. This Is Not a Test was the best book of the month so far for me. I am a fan of zombie stories in general but this was really different and intriguing, it mostly focuses on the human aspect with actual zombies only appearing very rarely. I already want to re-read this. And then Dreamfall was really good and surprising. I got really attached to the characters and was constantly on edge to see what could possibly happen next.
Planning to Read Next:
Next up is Here Lies Daniel Tate which is about a boy who cons (or tries to con) his way into a family? I'm up for any story involving conning so this really intrigues me and I cant wait to find out how it goes. Eliza and Her Monsters is the second book from Francesca Zappia and I loved Made You Up last year so I've been excited for this for a while! It also has illustrations in it which is lovely. And then I want to read Tash Hearts Tolstoy which has an asexusal main character which is exciting.
Broken Branches and Dream Fall look very tempting to me. Thanks for sharing, and enjoy. Here's MY WWW POST

DeleteI've heard good things about Broken Branches (for those of us who enjoy the darker side of reading). Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteBroken Branches is on my list books to read. I was somewhat skeptical about it, but after reading the reviews it has been pushed to the top of my list. Here is my post
