Wednesday Catch-Up 20th July 2016

Every Wednesday we are linking up with WWW Wednesday. WWW Wednesday is hosted at Taking on a World of Words and asks 3 questions: What are you currently reading?, What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you'll read next?

Currently Reading:
Sleigh Bells in the Snow
Yep, Sleigh Bells in the Snow is a Christmas novel. And I started reading it on the hottest day of the year. Because that makes sense. It's the first book in her Snow Crystal trilogy and I am really enjoying it. I only have a few chapters left but its been a great book so far.

Recently Finished:
HuntedHushGarden of LiesTo the Moon and BackHeartsong Cottage (Eternity Springs, #10)Summer Kisses
Hunted and Hush were both really fun and absorbing reads. I did enjoy Hush slightly more if only because I felt more connected to the characters. I then read Garden of Lies which I have been wanting to read for a while and it did not let me down. It may be one of my favourite Amanda Quick novels. I then thought I would give Jill Mansell a try and read To the Moon and Back which I thought was a really engaging read, there were a couple of points at which I got a bit teary. Heartsong Cottage was not exactly a light and fluffy read but I enjoyed it and I am intrigued to read more of the series. And finally Summer Kisses was a book with two stories in it. I enjoyed the first (Flora's) slightly more but they were both good reads.

Planning to Read Next:
Suddenly Last Summer (O'Neil Brothers, #2)Maybe This Christmas (O'Neil Brothers, #3)Sunset in Central Park (From Manhattan with Love, #2)
I am planning to complete the Snow Crystal trilogy by reading Suddenly Last Summer and Maybe This Christmas (at least one of them is a Summer book!) and then I want to read Sunset in Central Park which is the second book in the From Manhattan With Love trilogy, I loved the first book and I have been looking forward to this one.

You can also find us on Goodreads (Ann and Clare) to keep up with what we are reading

  2. I like your strategy for the Christmas novel. It will be 90 degree heat all week here, maybe I should pick up a cold book.

    1. I wasn't expecting to like Sarah Morgan as much as I do, her books are a good blend of serious and humorous, I definitely recommend them!

  4. I really enjoyed To The Moon and Back as well and, as you say, one of her books with more sad moments that is often the case. I just love her books! :-)

Reading some Christmas novels now is a great idea. It might work psychologically to cool you down!

Thanks for visiting my WWW earlier (https://clairehuston.wordpress.com/2016/07/20/www-wednesday-20th-july-2016/) and happy reading!

    1. I always try to read seasonally appropriate books but it always goes wrong somewhere! I blame the fact that the Summer book is the second in the series and I obviously had to read them in order even if the other two are Christmas books!

  7. I like that cover of Hush a lot, and Garden of Lies and To The Moon and Back as well. And Suddenly Last Summer- even those I don't read those I do like the bright summery covers. :)

  8. That is a lot of Sarah Morgan! I think I have Heartsong Cottage on my Kindle, and I've read Suddenly Last Summer published by Harlequin. It seems that with the two different publishers, the series names are also different! When I read/reviewed, it was the O'Neil Brothers #2. How strange! I think you have turned me on to Christmas reads now! Happy reading!

    1. That is odd! Not sure why they would change the series name! Tis the season for Christmas reads apparently!
