Wednesday Catch-Up 13th July 2016

Every Wednesday we are linking up with WWW Wednesday. WWW Wednesday is hosted at Taking on a World of Words and asks 3 questions: What are you currently reading?, What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you'll read next?

Currently Reading:
Hunted
I am currently about halfway through Hunted by Karen Robards. I am really enjoying it so far, the characters are behaving confusingly in my opinion but I am sure they have their reasons and all will make sense in the end.

Recently Finished:
DarknessSweet Little Lies: Heartbreaker Bay Book 1Chocolate WishesConditional LoveLove from ParisSecond Chance Summer (Cedar Ridge, #1)
The first two books I read this week were both for review. Darkness by Karen Robard was a fun and exciting read and I will have a full review up for it tomorrow. Sweet Little Lies was, simply, wonderful. The characters were amazing and I enjoyed the plot and the romance. I will be posting a review for this soon. I then went to the library and came back with a lot of books. I read Chocolate Wishes by Trisha Ashley which I thought was OK, just not necessarily for me. Conditional Love was an interesting read, I loved the character growth but I would have liked a more resolved ending. And Love From Paris was a fun sequel to The Love Detective. I then read Second Chance Summer by Jill Shalvis which was a great read although I didn't fall in love with it as much as with Sweet Little Lies. I do definitely want to continue the series though.

Planning to Read Next:
HushGarden of LiesSummer at Little Beach Street Bakery (Little Beach Street Bakery, #2)
Next I am planning to read Hush which is another Karen Robards book, I am excited to read it. I then want to read Garden of Lies which I have been wanting to read for a while, but it was always expensive on Amazon so I was glad to find a copy in the library. And then I want to read Summer at Little Beach Street Bakery which is the second book in the series.

You can also find us on Goodreads (Ann and Clare) to keep up with what we are reading

  1. Hunted looks good, I like that cover. And Chocolate Wishes and Summer at Little Beach Street both look nice summery reads, sorry to hear that Chocolate wasn't quite up to grade. I think I read part of the first Beach Street book, it just appealed to me even though it's not my usual kind of read, but I haven't read the whole thing. What I read I liked though.

    Have a great Wednesday!

    1. I really like Colgan's writing style and characters so I recommend the Beach Street books. I don't think there was necessarily anything wrong with Chocolate Wishes it just wasn't for me I guess. And I do like the cover for Hunted!

  2. All of your books are tempting me. It's been a while since I read Robards, but now I am eyeing those books. I also love the look of Garden of Lies. I haven't yet read the Amanda Quick version of Jayne Ann Krentz.

    Enjoy! Here's MY WWW POST

    1. I had never read Robards before Darkness but I am definitely enjoying her books now. We are opposites then - I've never read the Jayne Ann Krentz side of Amanda Quick!
