Sunday Post 1st April 2018

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted at Caffeinated Book Reviewer, it's a chance to post a recap on the past week, show the books we have received and share what we plan for the coming week. Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews and Reading Reality and the aim is to show our newest books and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops or downloaded on to their e-reader.

Books We Got This Week:

We actually got no books this week which is so weird for us. There are a lot of new releases coming in April so no doubt this will change next week but it was kind of nice to have one week where our TBRs could just breathe!

Reading Update:

Children of Blood and Bone (Legacy of OrĂ¯sha, #1)
Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi: 5 stars, I only managed one book this week but it was such an incredible book I don't even care. If you haven't already picked up Children of Blood and Bone then do it. It has such a magical special feel to it that I haven't felt since reading Harry Potter as a kid (only this might be better).

Next Week on the Blog:

  • Monday Highlights #48
  • Movie Review: Tomb Raider
  • Ann Reviews: Daughter of the Siren Queen by Tricia Levenseller

  1. I’m glad you liked Children of Blood and Bone. I don’t usually like fantasy, but I’m tempted by that one. Have a great week!

    1. If you're only going to read one fantasy then I definitely recommend choosing this one! It was such a strong read all around!

  5. Can't wait to see what you thought of Tomb Raider. I've been thinking of going to see that. And Children of Blood and Bone- I don't think I've seen a bad review yet. It's getting huge buzz- may have to get that.

  6. I had to get this book as well when it came out. However, I think I will wait until some hype dies down before I read it.
