Friday Reads 16th December 2016

Friday 56 is hosted at Freda's Voice and Book Beginnings is hosted by Rose City Reader. The idea is to share a sentence or so from the first page and the 56th page of the book you are currently reading!

Starry Night
Book Beginning:
"Carrie Slayton's feet were killing her."
Friday 56:
"This was an unwelcome predicament, and Finn wasn't the least bit happy."
Short but sweet quotes this week! That opening makes me instantly relate to Carrie - my shoes aren't always the most practical! I am curious about the second quote - would love to know what made Finn not the least bit happy. This is the eighth of my Christmas reads (thirteen more to go) and I am really enjoying my festive reading so far!

I apologise in advance if I don't stop by your blog today or reply to any comments - I am heading up to Wales to stay with a friend for a few days and I am not likely to have access to the blog whilst I am there! I am sure Ann will take great care of it whilst I am gone and when I get back I will have everyone's posts to look forward to!!

You can also find us on Goodreads (Ann and Clare) to keep up with what we are reading

  3. Enjoy your visit with your friend! I love Debbie Macomber's Christmas books and this one looks like a fun read though I wonder about what's up with Finn as well.

    1. Finn was basically just super anti-social at that time in the book! I had a good time with my friend thank you!

    1. Same! I read a lot of romance so it's weird I've never read one of her books before!
