Cover Characteristics is a weekly feature hosted at Sugar & Snark. I loved the category this week. Ann and I went to the library last week and took the opportunity to wander around looking for covers with feathers (and getting a couple of strange looks as we went) and so we have rather more than the five we usually stick to.
My favourite is definitely A Thousand Nights by E.K. Johnston but then it's one of the most beautiful covers I have ever seen. When the book first arrived I spent a ridiculously long time staring at the cover - and then a bit more time wandering the house making everyone else stare at the cover. But I also love a lot of the other covers, such as Magonia which I think is beautiful and Feather Boy and Feathers which are both very simple but intriguing.
Ooh you've got some good ones. I like that Allegiant cover A Thousand Nights but I think Salt and stone is my fave. Must be the blue. Hush , Hush makes me wonder what's going on in that story. And I like the idea of scouring the library for covers- sounds fun. :)
ReplyDeleteYou did pick some great covers. I wanted to do more than five as well, but I made myself pick the five I liked the best. I almost included Feathers but decided against it at the last moment.
ReplyDeleteAll these covers look fantastic, especially A Thousand Nights! Here’s my Cover Characteristic!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful selection. Whoa! I also had that cover for Allegiant, but didn't use it. Glad to see you did! Love the cover for Magonia. Here's mine: http://marelithalkink.blogspot.co.za/2016/07/cover-characteristics-feathers.html
