Top Ten Tuesdays is an original feature created by The Broke and The Bookish and you can find their page here. These are in no particular order. This could very easily have been a longer list and I keep thinking of ones I've left off but wish I hadn't - basically it's very difficult to make a favourites list!
1) Illuminae by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff
I had crazy high expectations for this and it exceeded every one. Such an amazing and indescribable read! I have a full review up here.
2) Carry On by Rainbow Rowell
This was basically everything I wanted from a book. I can't wait to re-read it. My review for this is here.
3) Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
This is one of those books I think everyone could read. So much better than the Grisha trilogy and I can't wait for book 2! Full review.
4) The Uninvited by Cat Winters
I could have chosen any of her books here because I loved them all. But this is the one I actually have a review up for and it was also the first one I read by her.
5) The Other Side of Midnight by Simone St. James
I wasn't expecting much from this but what I got is a new favourite author (at least top 10) and a book I know I will be reading again! Here's my review.
6) Made You Up by Francesca Zappia
I think I read this before we even started the blog but I loved it. It was such a unique and interesting read.
7) Simon vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli
Such a feel good book. I was just so happy when I was reading it and the cosy feeling lasted after I finished it as well. Review.
8) Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas
No review for this one because I wasn't necessarily thinking rationally about it. It has flaws (obviously) but I am just so excited by every book in this series.
9) Winter by Marissa Meyer
I was anticipating this book a lot and I thought it was a really great ending to the series. A very long ending to the series! I have a full review here.
10) The Wrath & The Dawn by Renee Ahdieh
No review for this one although I can't remember whether that's because it was pre-blog or because I just could not find the words!
I'm so happy to see 'Made You Up', 'The Wrath and the Dawn' AND 'Queen of Shadows' on your list! (I had them too XD) Pretty much every other book on your list is one I want to read - I haven't heard of 'The Other Side of Midnight' though. And I still need to read the first book of the Lunar Chronicles!

So many good books this year! I hadn't heard of The Other Side of Midnight either, I stumbled on it whilst browsing and took a chance! And I love the Lunar Chronicles - you should definitely read them.
DeleteWhat a great list! I was also surprised at how good The Other Side of Midnight was. Great list! Here is my TTT http://angelerin.blogspot.com/2015/12/top-ten-tuesday-top-ten-ya-novels-i.html?m=0
ReplyDeleteI thought it was going to be an OK read but I wasn't prepared for just how great I found it! Thanks for visiting
DeleteI haven't read any of these, but almost all of them are on my TBR list! Great list :)
ReplyDeleteMy TTT.
They are all very good! I hope you get to read them soon :)
DeleteI still need to read The Uninvited. I am on the fence about Illuminae though. Maybe if my library gets it, I'll pick it up.
ReplyDeleteI heard so many amazing things about Illuminae that I had to read it and then I wound up loving it too!
DeleteCan't wait to read Made You Up!
ReplyDeleteGreat List!
My TTT! :D
Made You Up is one of my biggest surprises this year, I brought it for the cover but the story was amazing, hope you enjoy it!
DeleteSix of Crows is AMAZING! I haven't read a lot of the other books on your list, besides Illuminae, which I wasn't a huge fan of. I do see quite a few on my TBR, though :)
ReplyDeleteHere is my TTT!
Six of Crows may honestly be my number 1 favourite of the year, possibly joint with Carry On! It was so much better than I had even expected!
DeleteI've not actually read anything on thi slist, but a lot of these books are on my TBR. I'm dying to read Illuminae, Six of Crows, the Lunar Chronicles, Maas's series, and anything by Rainbow Rowell. Great list!
ReplyDeleteMy TTT!
I recommend all of them, obviously! I look forward to seeing what you think of them once you've read them!
DeleteGreat post! I absolutely loved the Wrath and the Dawn. I haven't read anything else on your list, but I'm really excited about reading Illuminae, Six of Crows, and Carry On.
ReplyDeleteThose three are probably my absolute favourites of the year so I definitely recommend them! I hope you can read them soon - and that you enjoy them!
DeleteI'm really looking forward to Illuminae! :)

There really were so many great books this year! I am looking forward to all the amazing ones for 2016!! Thanks for following!
DeleteSo many great books on this list. Of the 5 I've read, I'd rate Illuminae the highest, but Simon would get an honorable mention as "the book that made me grin like an idiot" in 2015 - such a cute book.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to reading Carry On and Six of Crows very soon. Can't wait for Six of Crows!!
