Top Ten Debut Authors Who Have Me Looking Forward to Their Next Novel

Top Ten Tuesdays is an original feature created by The Broke and The Bookish and you can find their page here

1) Francesca Zappia
Made You Up
I really loved Made You Up, I was worried it would be just a beautiful cover but it was a beautifully written story as well and I can't wait to see what Francesca Zappia does next!
2) Sabaa Tahir
An Ember in the Ashes (An Ember in the Ashes, #1)
I really need book 2 of An Ember in the Ashes. I am so desperate to know what happens to these characters next!
3) Becky Albertalli
Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda
Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda was one of my favourite contemporary reads this year. It just made me so happy and I want more!
5) Katie M. Stout
Hello, I Love You
I so thought Hello, I Love You would be just a quick, cute read and instead I ended up so emotionally invested and desperate to re-read it!
6) Alice Oseman
Solitaire
Solitaire was really, really good and if you haven't read it yet I definitely recommend it!
7) Meredith Moore
I Am Her Revenge
I Am Her Revenge gave me one of my favourite villains to hate this year and a main character I adored. She was so broken and flawed and vulnerable and reading her point of view was so great.
8) Moira Fowley-Doyle
The Accident Season
I know The Accident Season isn't everyone's cup of tea but I really liked it! And I am definitely excited to read more.
9) Andrea Berthot
The Heartless City
I've said it before, Eliot may me one of my favourite male characters of all time, I really liked this book and I am definitely excited to see what she writes next! Especially if it's set in this world! (And in anyway involving Eliot).
10) Kimberly Karalius
Love Fortunes and Other Disasters
I was charmed by Love Fortunes and other Disasters and I am very excited by the fact that there will be a sequel/companion!

You can also find us on Goodreads (Ann and Clare) to keep up with what we are reading

  4. These lists have been adding to my Christmas wishlist so much! I wish I could keep up with all the great books coming out, I think I've missed some good debuts lately as well! Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda was great, I was completely anti-social whilst reading it because I was so absorbed!

    1. I loved it but I know some people who really didn't like it. It seems like a very marmite book. I hope you enjoy it when you read it!
