Friday Reads 13th November 2015

Friday 56 is hosted at Freda's Voice, the idea is to grab a book, turn to page 56 (or 56% in an e-book) and find any sentence (no spoilers!) and then post it. Book Beginnings is hosted by Rose City Reader to share the first sentence (or so) of the book you are currently reading, along with your initial thoughts about the sentence and impressions about the book.

Clare is away visiting her friend and then our brother at the moment so I apologise if it isn't as good as it normally is.

Ann:
Bloodlines (Bloodlines, #1)
This week I might get a bit of reading done but I plan on focusing on homework so I will probably only getting around to reading Bloodlines.

Book Beginning:
Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1)
"After a year of slavery in the Salt Mines of Endovier, Celaena Sardothien was accustomed to being escorted everywhere in shackles and at sword-point."

Friday 56:
Texts from Jane Eyre: And other conversations with your favourite literary authors
"A person can have more than one Shawl. a person cannot be content with but one white Shawl." - Jane Eyre
I have really got many other books to choose from so I had to use the same one again.
Clare:
Far From You by Tess SharpeHotel RubyIlluminae (The Illuminae Files, #1)

This weekend I will be taking the train to my brothers so will hopefully get some reading done. I am halfway through Far From You at the moment and underwhelmed but I am very excited for Hotel Ruby and Illuminae.

Book Beginning:
Far From You by Tess Sharpe
"It doesn't start here. You'd think it would: Two terrified girls in the middle of nowhere, cowering together, eyes bulging at the gun in his hand." Far From You

Friday 56:
Far From You by Tess Sharpe
"Its weird what three words can ignite inside of you" Far From You page 56
You can also find us on Goodreads (Ann and Clare) to keep up with what we are reading.
