Every Wednesday we are linking up with WWW Wednesday. WWW Wednesday is hosted at Taking on a World of Words and asks 3 questions: What are you currently reading?, What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you'll read next?
Currently Reading:
I am just starting The Secret by Kathryn Hughes. I believe it's a novel set in two times which is a genre I generally love. The cover is so nice as well, and very intriguing. I know I'd be drawn to that bundle of photographs and the key if I came across them in real life! I am also still reading my Classic of the month Pride and Prejudice. This is a re-read and I am really enjoying it.
Recently Finished:
The Viscount and the Vixen was a little underwhelming for me, it was a quick and easy read but ultimately didn't grab my attention. The Art of Sinning however was a good read. It took me a while to remember who everyone was (from the Duke's Men) series. Although this is the first in a new series I would definitely recommend read the Duke's Men series first because there are quite a few references to events that, whilst not integral to this story, definitely provide useful background! Finally I read Visions of Heat and Caressed by Ice by Nalini Singh. These are the 2nd and 3rd books in the Psy-Changeling series which I am hoping to work my way through this year!
Planning to Read Next:
I know I keep listing these three as "reading next" and then getting completely distracted off topic. And I have no idea why because I am genuinely excited for all of them! The Smoke Hunter is one I am really, really anticipating because it's described as "Lara Croft meets Indiana Jones" and honestly what's not exciting about that?? Next I want to read The House on Sunset Lake is another one that's set in two times, the cover is gorgeous and it seems like a gentle read that I will really enjoy! And finally The Quest by Dani Hoots which is one I am really intrigued by - I've been really wanting to read more Sci-Fi lately and this seems perfect!
I love the look of The Secret, as well as The House on Sunset Lake. Enjoy!
