Sunday Post 18th September 2016

The Sunday Post STSmall_thumb[2]
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted at Caffeinated Book Reviewer, it's a chance to post a recap on the past week, show the books we have received and share what we plan for the coming week. Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews and the aim is to show our newest books and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops or downloaded on to their e-reader. As always you can click on any of the pictures to be taken to the Goodreads page for that book if you're interested in finding out more about it.

Last Week on the Blog:

Books We Got This Week:

Wolf By Wolf (Wolf By Wolf, #1)Kill the Boy BandKids of Appetite
Wolf By Wolf by Ryan Graudin: I have lost track of the number of amazing things I've heard about this book - so I had to grab it at the library.
Kill the Boy Band by Goldy Moldavsky: After reading Lauren's review of this I found I was very interested in picking it up so I ordered it at the library. I am excited to read this soon.
Kids of Appetite by David Arnold: Received from Headline for review, this looks like a great contemporary with (hopefully) a good road trip!
Caraval (Untitled, #1)Iron CastPoet Of The Wrong Generation
Caraval by Stephanie Garber: I was invited to review this on Netgalley and I am super excited. Its not released until January so my review wont be up for a while but it looks like such an amazing book!
Iron Cast by Destiny Soria: Received via Netgalley, This is recommended for fans of Libba Bray's Diviners - which I definitely am!
Poet of the Wrong Generation by Lonnie Ostrow: The publisher sent us an ARC of this one and we are both interested to read it.

Reading Update:

Clare:

In the Month of the Midnight SunAfter AliceThe Unseeing
In the Month of the Midnight Sun by Cecilia Ekback: 4.5 stars, Such an excellent slow build with interesting characters and an amazing setting. Plus that ending is going to stay with me for a while!
After Alice by Gregory Maguire: 1 star, Oh dear. I was doing so well with review books lately but unfortunately this was a disappointment. It lacked any of the charm or whimsy of the original Alice and the characters were either unlikable or uninteresting.
The Unseeing by Anna Mazzola: 4 stars, This kept me guessing the whole way through. I never knew what would happen next or, perhaps more importantly, what happened before.

    1. I know he wrote Mosquitoland but I didn't read that so I don't know what to expect! It does sound great though!

  3. Oooo, so many great books here! I got Iron Cast last week - I'm not sure if I'll be reading it, since it was unsolicited. I also have Caraval, and like you, my review won't be up until closer to the pub date. But I'm excited about the book. :D I hope you enjoy all of your new books!

    Have a fabulous week. :)

    Check out my STS post!
